Mission : Positive Planet is an international non-profit organization founded in 1998 with a mission of helping men and women to create the conditions for a better life for future generations across the world.
Strategy : In India, Positive Planet aims to focus on few pan India infrastructural projects which are targeted to have a maximum impact on the base of the pyramid in the sectors of financial inclusion, financial literacy, livelihoods, agricultural value chains and water sustainability.
Execution : Leveraging the global knowledge base and experience of Positive Planet global project execution within India as well as bringing much needed funding support to these projects.
Building Partnerships : Establishing linkages and partnerships with leading government institutions Reserve Bank of India, NABARD, SIDBI; Finance Ministry, government social subsidy schemes such as NRLM, NREGA associations such as Indian Banks Association, Sadhan-Microfinance Association of India, MFIN Microfinance Association of India, leading credit bureaus, NBFC-MFIs/NGOs in India to work on projects that would have a sustainable and scalable impact on the base of the pyramid.

Lafarge is the world’s largest cement manufacturing company.
As Corporate Social Responsibility Head, i helped relaunch / activate the Lafarge India Charity Foundation NIDHEE. NIDHEE in Hindi means ‘Community Wealth’. Over the 3 years of creating and launching the charity foundation involved working across 7 states of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, West Bengal covering 72 Villages and impacting 1,58105 citizens directly and 790525 citizens indirectly.
Launching the charity foundation involved introducing and managing change at the local plants and greenfield sites and building a national CSR strategy to unify all the local CSR efforts being conducted at the various plants and greenfield sites across the country and building a long-term sustainable perspective for increased community impact. This included evolving a CSR & stakeholder relationship management roadmap to which all Units align themselves to and is monitored via stringent impact assessment indicators to facilitate tangible results.
Leading change also included conceptualizing new CSR programs under the pillars of Health, Education, Employability, Environment and providing leadership to the local CSR Team for executing major CSR initiatives.
A company wide systematic process to include all independent local CSR budgets into a national budget and maintain 100% financial accountability & transparency was also initiated.
Partnerships with over a dozen NGOs, Universities and other institutions also initiated.

It has been this sailor's good fortune to be graced by The Art of Living and His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s golden path and His philosophy of seva and a one world family. Life now has transcended from the daily mundane to recognising and appreciating the depth and the wisdom to be able to have a Guru other than my Mother to mentor and to guide one’s evolution to represent the highest human characteristics possible.
Over these 10 years one has grown from a volunteer to a teacher and have been privileged to be able to spread the noble truth, gift and peace of meditation and other spiritual practices all designed to create an ecosystem of sustainable peace on the planet.
In the short time span of 4 years have taught the Happiness Program to over 600 individuals and helped organised the following Art of Living programs
And several volunteering programs

United Way is one of the largest charity networks in the world
1. Successfully led and significantly scaled up United Way Mumbai Chapter to be one of the most premier non-profits leveraging corporate partnerships for charitable purposes.
2. Payroll Giving: The most significant program launched was pioneering and spearheading the launch of payroll giving in India with in the first 3 years of the launch. Over 36 leading corporate / MNCs participating in United Way’s national payroll giving program where over 20,000 employees partook in supporting over 50-100 non-profits that passed United Way’s due diligence process impacting annually over 25,000-35,000 citizens directly per annum and 1,50,000+ citizens indirectly.
3. Mumbai Marathon: Spearheaded the winning of the million dollar plus Mumbai Marathon event for United Way, which serves as an excellent charity fund raiser platform involving 200+ NGOs, 100+ Corporates and over 30000 citizens
4. Mumbai Helpline - Disaster Management: Post the 26th July 2005 paralyzing floods in Mumbai with death toll of 4000, conceptualized and launched a unique disaster management program for Mumbai City called ‘Mumbai Helpline’ in partnership with Bombay Municipal Corporation (BMC). One of the key programs in Mumbai Helpline, was the Corporate Ward Adoption program where HSBC was the first corporate to come forward to support F ward with a ward office. Vision was that each corporate ward office would help build a bridge between the citizens of the ward and the local municipal ward office to assess things like clean drains and disaster relief centers thereby preparing that particular ward for better disaster management if and when any disaster strikes. This program, United Way Mumbai Helpline (UWMH) has been honoured with the Special Recognition award for its 'Continuity and Recovery Initiatives in the Public Interest', at the prestigious BCI Continuity and Resilience Awards 2011.
5. NGO Assessment Program: Created a unique NGO assessment program to assess their activities enabling corporate to better understand various NGOs across various domains and identify their strengths and opportunities and thereby assisting their selection of NGO partners.
6. Tsunami - Disaster Management: Building 2 schools impacting 800 children and reconstruction of 321 home sin Poombuhar village as well as supporting over 775 number of fishermen families by providing 52 boats, motors and nets.
7. Attracted volunteers/interns from all parts of the globe and successfully leveraging over 2000+ volunteers to strengthen and implement the various United Way projects

Internet World, MicroMedia, 1997
Microland, the IT services company, in 1997, tied up with the US-based Mecklermedia Corporation to host the worlds largest Internet, intranet and the World Wide Web (WWW) conference and exposition, known as Internet World.
Microland has also formed a new business division, MicroMedia, to speed up the Internet-based technology in India by creating awareness through conferences, seminars and exhibitions.
I was the Head of Sales in the year 1997 and led all of Internet World's sales activities and helped seek participation in India’s 1st Internet related exhibition from various dotcom and other internet related business in Western India.
